Jim Myers
The Owner and Manager of Jeda Mechanical Ltd has been involved in the Mechanical contracting industry for most of his life, starting in high school and working at his fathers plumbing company on holidays and during the summers. During his post secondary education studies in business administration, marketing and construction related courses, Jim also spent time within his father’s firm gaining valuable knowledge and experience.
At the age of 22, Jim started full time with his fathers company working in various positions throughout the firm. At the age of 42, Jim took the bold step and opened up his own company and has never looked back. Jeda has quickly carved out a name for itself, by taking on some of the largest mechanical contracts in British Columbia, while winning some very prestigious industry awards at the 2009 VRCA Awards of Excellence including safety awards and innovation awards, and most recently the 2010 VRCA trade Contractor of the Year.
With offices now in Calgary as well as Vancouver, Jeda Mechanical Ltd’s growth continues. Jim says his success has been in his ability to attract and hire the best and most knowledgeable people, and by providing a great team working environment that allows Jeda to provide it’s clients with the most competitive pricing without sacrificing quality.
Kyle Biggar
Kyle has been working with Jim Myers in the construction industry for over 9 years. Additionally, his time spent working for a large General Contractor has added to his overall construction experience and insight. As a compliment to his experience and with a passion for learning, Kyle has completed his degree in Construction Management at BCIT. As Jeda Mechanical’s Construction Manager, Kyle is responsible for overseeing all aspects of estimating and project management.
Kyle’s strong organizational skills and commitment to open communication help to ensure that every project is delivered with a high level of integrity. It is always with a sense of excitement that Kyle and the Jeda team look forward to new projects and meeting new people in the close knit construction community.
